The Residents Association Committee worked with Airways Housing, Waterways, Groundwork, Thames
21 and the probation service to clean up and plant the area by the Canal at the top of Leander Road. Which was like a
rubbish tip, people had thrown dirty nappies, black bags and furniture, making it a health hazzard.
All that helped came along to the opening. Steve Pound MP cut the ribbon.
